These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Faithfully Ever After ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Faithfully Ever After mobile application and any related services. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Faithfully Ever After is designed for adults in romantic relationships. You must be at least 17 years old to create an account. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you give us is accurate.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Please tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed it.
The app lets you create content: journal entries, profile and couple details, bios, photos, messages in group chats, and plans. You keep ownership of everything you create. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store your content, display it back to you, and show it to the people you have chosen to share it with, such as your partner or a friend couple.
You are responsible for the content you post. Only post content you have the right to share.
We want this to be a safe place for couples. You agree not to use the app to:
We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Content that violates these Terms, and the accounts responsible for it, may be removed or suspended without notice.
We give every user tools to protect themselves. Inside the app you can:
We review reports and aim to act on them within 24 hours. When we find a violation, we may remove the content, hide a profile from public areas of the app, suspend the account, or terminate it permanently, depending on the severity and whether it has happened before. Users who post content that sexualises children or threatens serious harm are removed permanently, and we will report them to the appropriate authorities.
If you see something that breaks these rules, please use the report tool in the app or email contact@faithfullyeverafter.ca.
We may remove content or restrict an account where we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken, where we are required to by law, or where we believe someone is at risk of harm. Where practical we will tell you what happened and why. If you think we have got it wrong, write to us and we will look at it again.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app. Deleting your account removes your profile, your journal entries, and your notifications, and unlinks you from your partner. Some information may remain in backups for a limited period, and we may keep records where the law requires it. See our Privacy Policy for detail.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if your account is used in a way that puts others at risk, or if we are required to by law. If we end your account for a reason other than a breach of these Terms, and you have paid for a subscription that has not been used, we will refund the unused portion where we are able to.
Faithfully Ever After is currently free to use. We expect to offer optional paid subscriptions in the future. If and when we do, the following will apply.
We will not begin charging existing users without telling them first.
We may change, add, or remove features as the app develops. We may occasionally need to suspend the service for maintenance. We will try to keep disruption short and, where a change is significant, to give you notice.
Faithfully Ever After offers devotional, reflective, and relationship content for personal use. It is not counselling, therapy, medical advice, or crisis support. If you are in distress or in danger, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of harmful components, or that content you store will never be lost.
We are not responsible for the conduct of other users, or for content that other users post.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or connected with your use of the app.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for all claims relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be limited.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, brought by a third party arising out of your content, your use of the app, or your breach of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, please delete your account.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it, without regard to conflict of law rules. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada, except that either of us may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protection of the mandatory laws of the place where you live.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the app.
